Anyone have a copy of this book? What is on the inside? Stories, photos? Thoughts on a fair market value? Would it be nice to have in a collection of someone who had a family member in the 401st?

Just wondering

The answer is yes to all the questions. The stories were written by members of the different Squadrons and their own personal reflections. The books sold for $50.00 approx and they are not in reprint unless Turner Publishing has enough waiting list people to do a reprint and I think they need like 100 to do it. Price maybe between $100.00-$150.00 is reasonable. That is one man's opinion.

I see where you are about this book. In this case I can apply a little extra info on. The people that I have ran into on that site selling Blue Books are willing to bid up on these types of books. In that vein I think the price may go above $200.00. Actually I am interested in seeing what the price will end up at. I have one of these books and would not sell it for profit.

Sadly a quick check of the usual retailers shows that those that do have a copy available start their pricing at 300 USD/200 GBP at the moment, and wonder why they can't sell them...

Thanks for all the input. I think I am going to pass on this copy, see what it sells for, then keep that in mind for next time. But in the meantime I'll email Turner Publishing and put my name on the list for a reprint, hopefully help that list get closer to 100.

Thanks again for all the good info.

If it were me I would wait till near the end of the time and if no one has put in a bid I would put in $150.00 + and see how the bidding goes before you just forget it. If there not watching and if they are they would then outbid you.

It didn't sell.

I was thinking about going back to bid after reading your post, but just didn't get to it in time. But the book had zero bids and didn't sell. I sent a short message through ebay to seller this morning to see if he was going to relist the book, but we'll see.
