The Kamper Crew's mugs were finally buried at Deenethorpe this morning.
See HERE for the background story.
An oak tree was planted nearby, along with a commemorative marker:

Film crews from the BBC and ITV were there to record the occasion, along with other members of the press, British Legion, MVT and a number of other interested parties.

Joan Parker, widow of tail gunner Tom Parker, with Graham Bratley:

I'll try to get some better photos up later, my camera kept packing up throughout the event and these were the only two that were saved.

All the best,
Paul

Ta Jean.

Local Anglia News video: HERE

Hopefully it will work outside the UK, BBC ones tend not to but this is from an independent channel.

All the best,
Paul

Darn.

I'll see if I can get a copy that's viewable in the US.

TV News Video update.

The BBC 1 Look East broadcast which covered the event was only available for 24 hours, and has now been removed from the BBC iPlayer system.
The ITV Anglia Tonight broadcast is still online at the time of writing, but is still resticted to UK IP addresses.

The local Evening Telegraph newspaper printed a very nice article and even an editorial on the event, and surpassed their usual standards by only having three errors in the first line...
Thankfully the condensed online version has been tidied up somewhat: LINK 🙂

All the best,
Paul
