Also, when any of your links relate back to the old site, if you hit the Home link there (at the old site), you will be redirected as it is pointing to the web address you mentioned.
Also, I noticed a new post from a member on the old site who was unaware of the change. It is possible he had the old forums linked to his favorites (or another page from the old site other than the home page).
This may need to be addressed in some way to ensure that all of the users are aware of the change.
