Not a 401BG chap I'm afraid, but it's such an evocative image I felt it needed sharing.
This is apparently Lt. Paul Chryst, firstly Navigator, then Bombardier in 42-102504 "Time's A Wastin'" of the 91st Bomb Group's 401st Bomb Squadron during August-December 1944.
