I want to see, now that the login problem appears to be fixed, if the notification problem is also fixed as a result.

And, also, this is a smilie check: 😃 🙂 😞 🤦 😐

Thanks, Paul. I didn't get an email response, so either it's still broken or there's something not turned on. Time to do some more poking around.

BTW, did you get the email I sent to your hotmail account? Just curious.

Ed.

Hi Ed,

Yes, the e-mail came through fine.
I'll get a reply off to you after I finish this next couple of batches of photos written up.

OK Dale, here we go.......

First pick the image you want to use.
To save filling up the message screen, it needs to be about 100 pixels high.
Sadly, M$ Paint can't resize images very well, so you'll need something that can or send it to me and I'll do it for you.

Once you have your resized image, you have to store it online.
Simplest way is to open a free account at PHOTOBUCKET, and follow the easy steps to upload it there. Once uploaded, click on the box beside IMG CODE underneath the photo and it will automatically save it to your clipboard.

You then need to open up your Signature control back here.
User Control Panel>Profile>Edit Signature.
Use Ctrl+V to paste the image code into your signature, Preview it, and if you're happy Submit it.

Any problems, just call.
Or I can do the resize/uploady thing for you and just send you the code to paste in if that's easier. 😉

All the best,
Paul

Heh heh.....

I'm working on it.

The photo was, according to the NARA caption, taken in May '45, but the lack of a yellow band on the fin leads me to doubt that somewhat.
The sun is high, and they are facing into it, so they cannot be looking north.
There is another plane parked in the mid-distance to the left, and what appears to be a treeline in the right distance.
From the lack of a visible demarkation line between Mary Alice and the crew, it's unlikely to be parked on a dispersal, more likely to be on a runway-width bit of concrete.

Time to pore over the map again.....
