11/30/2006 11:32:28 AM | As you may already know, I'm embarked on a project to recreate one of my father's B-17s. About a month back, one of my nephew's had an excellent suggestion. Since our WWII vet's are dying at a greater and greater rate 😞 he suggested that we should record some of his grandfather's story's for the benefit of all.
Since he suggested it, I suggested that he run with it, but, naturally, he's busy with school and life. So, I decided to broaden the project to the rest of the family. What we're doing, at present, is simply gathering a list of questions for dad that we intend to ask him about his experiences before, during and after the war. Then, each family member will interview him and collect the information for our benefit.
I'm now extending the invitation to ask questions to the members this forum. If you've got any questions you'd like to ask a vet, please feel free to ask them here. We will consider them for inclusion into our list of questions for dad.
Naturally, and as time allows, I'll post the responses here.
