SSGT Ben Wilson's granddaughte

Wow this is some interesting stuff!  My grandfather, Ben Wilson, was a ball turret gunner with Aschenbach's crew.  I was curious to see if anyone on here remembers him and could tell me some good stories about him back then.  My husband is an Army combat medic stationed at Fort Stewart, GA so we are very close to the Mighty 8th museum.  My mom and little brother are coming to visit in a few weeks and we are planning on going.  I'm thinking about putting together information, pictures, stories and what not to make a mini-scrapbook to give my grandfather for Christmas, and keep one myself for family history purposes.  Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, and y'all take care!

There are several negatives of Hell's Angel.... connected photos in the National Archives.
NASA Numbers A65424AC, A65430AC, C65451AC, 65524AC,  65603AC, A65703AC, A65775AC
There are several entries in the forum on how to order xeroxes first, so you know what's pictured, and to then order photo prints directly from the negatives.  The Archives does have a website.  If there are other planes he flew in that you want to know if negatives exist for them, let me know. My dad flew a mission in Hell's Angel... also.

Isn't this an awesome website?  I just found it in January.  I learned more about my uncle who was K.I.A. than I ever learned from any of the family.  These guys here are awesome too and are more than happy to try to help in any way they can.  Make sure you use nothing smaller than a 12 x 12 for the scrapbook.  Anything smaller is more difficult.  Good luck with it!
