Ploesti - The Great Groud-Air Battle of 1 August 1943 (Dugan & Stewart) Comprehensive text outlining the history behind the low-level Ploesti "Tidalwave" raid. Mission preparations, first hand accounts of the mission and POW experiences are included. Listing of all crewmen who participated in the raid are included in the appendix. Ed Dana and I are both amazed that nobody in Holywood has made a movie about this raid. There appears to be some buzz that one may be in the works, but only time will tell.
