The memorial marker to the crew of Rosie's Sweat Box, which crashed on takeoff on September 17th 1944 with the loss of all crewmembers, has now been turned 180 degrees and a hole cut in the hedgerow so it can now be viewed from the roadside.
The memorial is a few hundred yards to the west of the flying club gate at Deenethorpe, on the Weldon-Benefield road.

All the best,
PB

Just so you know I did it back in May and Paul Knight and myself intend to get over and re-cemet it as it is a little loose, I'm not sure I did the right thing in cutting a hole in the hedge, someone can sue me I suppose, then I will be crowing on this forum for financial help

Good work Dale, it's much more visible now.

I laid some flowers there this morning in memory of the 65th anniversary of the crash:

All the best,
Paul
