12/3/2008 9:59:57 PM | I believe I have fixed the problem with private mail. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know and I will do what I can to fix it.
Unfortunately, fixing computer problems requires lots of information, so if you encounter any problems, please describe the situation as accurately as you can.
Also, screen prints never hurt. 😃

According to the board settings, only moderators and administrators can PM. That explains why I and Donald can, but Andy can't. That doesn't explain how Paul could, however. As far as I know, he has standard registered user privileges.
I will likely change this so that all standard users can PM each other, but I need to make sure that I don't screw anything up, so some poking and peeking is called for.

I logged in using your permissions, it did not display. I relogged on as FauxUser and the icons appeared. It appears to be something specific to you (maybe some others). Looks like research will be required. Give me some time.

Now, that we've resolved it, and assuming that it could happen again (or that there may be other users with this problem) would you log what you did in the Administrator's forum? That way, we'll have it for reference in case we need to do it again. 🙂

Problem is, Paul, the job has been eating my brain. 12 hour days lately, so I haven't checked like I should. If you need to get me directly, try my main email address, I respond more quickly to it. 🙂
