I am one of Doc's 11 children.  He was the last surviving member of the crew of the Round Tripper #42-31369.  Sadly, Dad passed away on 02/25/2010.  A great man who is sorely missed by all.  Thank God for the skills of the pilot and crew the day they went down in 1944 - - the number of people blessed having known him are innumerable.  Say a prayer for an old warrior gone to be with his Father.

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your father.  Please take the time to send a bio to pfg@401bg.org for inclusion in the 401st Bomb Group Association's quarterly newsletter "Poop from Group".

Rejoice in your memories of your father in addition to mourning his loss.

Please accept my heart felt sorrow for your family in the passing of your father.  Rejoice in the fact that your father was a man of honor and a hero for his dedication for serving our country.  I pray for that old warrior and head of such a fine family.  I had posted the other day but went back and checked and my comments were not there.  So again I commend him in the voice of the 401st Bomb Group.

Rick,

I will try to send the bio(actually his obit) on Dad this evening, it says it all-- if it does not come through let me know.

Thanks,

Kurt
