11/6/2004 9:29:25 AM | Mr. Philippe Canonne (French researcher) would like to find any informations concerning the 8th and 9th air missions (bombing, reco., strafing) and the units which bombed the cities of Châteauroux and Bourges (central France) in 1944. These Allied actions successfully destroyed German training schools, fighting units and aircraft factories settled there.
Chateauroux mission involved on 5 February 1944 is a very important chapter in the field of our researches.
I would be very honored to contact any veterans, members of their family, comrades in arms, and researchers to share database, photos, memories etc… with the idea to publish a book.
