8/27/2004 3:35:25 PM | On August 26, 1944, bombers had a mission to Ruesselsheim / Rhine river. Several people were killed ... a plan was shot down, the crew at first surveived. Yet then upset and enraged housewifes hunted the men through the streets and at last lynched them. Eight airmen were slain to death, two escaped. One took part when yesterday a memory was unveiled. I've no information to which unit the plan belonged.
