Mr. Mithell, I'm sorry to report that Louis A. Jackson, recently passed away on June 20, 2004. Here is a copy of his on-line obit:

Louis A. Jackson, 78, of Templeton (Rayburn Township), died Sunday, June 20, 2004 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1925 in Greensburg to Louis A. Sr. and Wanda Jackson. Mr. Jackson was the owner and operator of the former Mission Beverages Bottling Company for more than 40 years. An Army Air Force combat veteran, he was a member of the Eighth Air Force 401st Bombing Group during World War II. Survivors include two sons, A. David Jackson and James Jackson both of Ford City; one daughter, Lesley Bizyak and husband Leonard of Churchill; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Elizabeth Olesheski Jackson.
There will be no public visitation. Private funeral services and burial will be held. For information: www.bauerfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Bauer Funeral Home, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.

   Saw your message on the 401st Forum Re Lt J LEPENDORF. Looking for a crew photo of DeMarco,s Crew or a photo of any of the following aircraft he flew

43-37628  HEAVENLY BODY
42-102398 DYNAMITE JOHN
42-106992 BABY LU
43-37790  LADY LUCK
42-107-39 ICE COLD KATY

As i understand they flew 8 missions with 401st BG .Starting on the 1st Mar 45. Then transfered to 384th BG. Do you know if they flew any missions with them.
