My friend Robert Parker, tail gunner on Hudnall's crew is writing his biography and we have tried to create a group picture that was never taken while at Deenethorpe in the 612th Sq of the 401st Bomb Group. We have everyone in front of the propellor except Mitch, but we have reserved a space for him if we can locate his picture. Mitch died a few years ago in southern California, but we haven't been able to contact his wife at the old address. And we don't know any of their kids.
We are running this request for any information up the flag pole to see if anyone salutes and can help. I live at 2863 Jamie Rose Street, Las Vegas, NV 89135.

My father, Alfred R. Gyles, was the ball turret gunner on Hudnall's crew.  I would very much like to have a copy of the group photo when it becomes available.  Dad stayed in touch with Frank Mitchell over the years before both passed away.  My brother (Stewart K. Gyles) has all my Dad's old photographs and his address book.  You can call him at (717) 786-6932.
