6/18/2004 10:57:47 PM | I've been researching information about my Grandfather while he was with the 615th Squadron (Radio Operator T/Sgt M.L. Roberts). Through contact with Paul Campbell, I've found that he flew on several missions as part of his crew. A few of these were in Tagalong 338077.
I will be building an accurate model replica of this plane. I have a pretty good photo of her, but was wondering if anyone knows if she has any special markings or if she had any graphics or nose art. I don't think so, but want to be sure. Also, I'm not sure if she had a ball turret or a "Mickey Radar" installed in the later part of 1944.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

6/19/2004 1:32:22 PM | There is one picture in the National Archives, negative number 65742AC and in Valant's book on nose art page 78. You might want to check them out. They may be the same photo you have already. You might check with the archives to see if they have any others.......

Can the photo in the National Archives be accessed online? If so, I'm not sure where to find it. Also, I have a book on nose art but unfortunately this one was written by Jeffrey Ethell. Nice book, but no Tagalong...

of my dad's which my brother's now holding. Also, Russ Morrow may have some. He's a member of this organization. I'll look into our family's pictures.
