I see in the writeup of this mission that it was Lt. Fesmire's 100th. However, I don't find him listed with any of the aircrews. What squadron was he in, and what ship was he on for his 100th?

Durward Fesmire wa a master seargant bombardier and flew 92 missions in South Pacific on the "Suzy Q".He received direct commission to first lieutenant on arrival in U.S.So mission on 2/25/44 was his 8th in the ETO. He was in 613th Sqdn. and wa assigned to Bill Riegler crew. He also flew missioins with Tom Cushman.He was the most decorated man in the 401st BG.

The pilot's name on a mission is no guarantee that everyone on the crew flew.  Fortunately, I have my dad's individual flight records, and there were four missions that my dad flew separate from his crew.  I know that new pilots and co-pilots would often fly their first mission with an experienced crew.  I could see where a bombardier might fly with an experienced crew at first...........
