Thought I'd introduce myself.

My grandfather was Lt. Col. Alvin Tonne of the Arthur D. Kelso crew.

I stumbled across the site and accompanying message board after a quick Google search. I'm fascinated by the information available here, and I'd like to offer thanks to the folks spending time on maintaining it.

My granddad never spoke very much about what happened while he was overseas, so seeing the list of missions, aircraft, crews, etc., is really exciting. He swore that his experience after the war was much wilder. He did survive two plane crashes, one leaving him stranded in the Mojave Desert (from Davis-Monathan,http://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=70579), and another in the tundra of Canada.

Unfortunately he passed away in January of this year. Curious if there are others here who have relatives that flew with him?

Thanks,
-Mat Tonne
