9/20/2012 12:49:55 PM | Paul Knight, of the 401st Bombardment Group Historical Society, visited the small memorial he erected at the roadside near Deenethorpe airfield, in memory of the crew of B-17G 42-97872 614th BS on the 68th anniversary of the terrible take off accident and layed a small floral tribute in remembrance of her crew.

1/9/2013 2:27:05 PM | For those who do not know Paul, Paul Knight, as a youngster, was at the "Rosie's Sweatbox' crashsite the day it happened. So in addition to his commemmoration efforts, Paul rates a special thanks for his clear first-person knowledge and description of the aftermath of this unforgetable event (as told on-site during a 2007 DP visit with him). It certainly brings-home 'how it was'.
