1/18/2011 6:02:50 PM | I stumbled across this book while searching Amazon for something completely different, but it looks very interesting and provides yet another view into life at Deenethorpe. Written by Kathleen Havens Gezzi it is compiled from the memoirs of Mary Hall (Mary Baroudi), one of the ARC Girls at Deenethorpe towards the end of WWII. Interestingly, the ARC staff seem to have been billeted in the Seahorse pub in Deene village (long since closed, but still there) rather than on the airbase. Link to the UK Amazon page, from where parts of the book can be read: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Journey-Between ... 1425929192 All the best, Paul
