3/11/2008 6:13:01 PM | MACR 9757, 10-7-44 about the loss of the 1st.Lt. A.J. Nelson Crew and 'IN-C' on the Politz Mission, has abbreviations after each Crewmen's name listed, in the 'status' column. - - the 'KIA' designation is obvious; but - - the 'DED' abbreviation is not - anyone know what that designation is? (FYI, 6-Crewmen were listed 'KIA' and 3-Crewmen listed 'DED', and in some copies, the 'status' is handwritten and in others typewriten).

3/13/2008 2:54:58 PM | Phoenix: If you E-mail me at win-z@comcast.net, I can send a lo-res scan of a MACR facesheet (top sheet / form). As 'Swinny' notes, there may be any number of pages included in a complete report, depending upon circumstances, but the facesheet gives you the general 'picture'.
