9/28/2006 7:34:00 PM | Can anyone come up with the names of the ground crew on Madame Queen , 613th, for the period of May thru October 1944? They were the hardworking heros who toiled thru the darkness, rain, and misery to patch the holes And give us a reliable bird that always got us back.I had written their names in my little book, but it was lost during my next tour on the Africa -India transport runs. I would like to give them a belated thanks.

9/29/2006 2:57:31 AM | Vick Masilin was only able to obtain some information at the time was only able to get a "static" information of the flight crews as they existed. It was later in the war that the Load List was available which showed who was on each plane. This is availabe through the NASA II Archives and has to be asked by each mission. Unfortunately ground crews were not included in this manifest and we have to relay on other means to aquire this information.
But they were the back bone of the whold group which put up the planes each mission. Any additional info is appreciated.

11/23/2011 10:52:42 AM | My dad...Robert K. Auger was in 613. If I remember correctly Madame Queen was one of the aircraft that he spoke of. I posted a picture here viewtopic.php?f=12&t=809 of my dad with his fellow ground crew mates. Dad used to tell me that they worked on more than one plane.
