8/16/2012 12:51:56 PM | Can anyone explain how to convert coordinates from a MACR into longitude and Latitude. I don't know but are coordinates within documents/MARC/etc based of specific maps used during the war, so a conversion is not easy with out finding out the map used at the report. Just curious Thanks

8/16/2012 2:42:47 PM | I would have thought they would already have been in degrees and minutes of longitude and latitude. I suppose an exception would have been site visit reports by ground teams when they would likely be GSGS or even Cassini grid references, which is a whole other can of worms if the complete reference isn't included.
