Any idea on date or mission?

Sadly not as yet, but I'm working on it...
All I can say for certain is it's a post-July 1944 mission.

The other aircraft in the full image are too far away to be able to identify individually, so I can't accurately place them into a formation diagram.
From what I can see is that '780 looks to be leading a vic in the Low Squadron of the Group box, possibly in the Low-Left vic.
Contrails in the background could indicate the Group box would be in the Low-Left position of the Combat Wing formation.

All the best,
Paul
