2/24/2010 10:14:32 AM | I recently found the following photos and video clips on the Internet and I decided to share the sites here in case they are new to some of you. There are over 50 pages of WW II photos located here for several countries and military groups. http://www.worldwar2database.com/gallery2/main.php One photo in particular really made me stop and pause... that was the The Stadium Of Skulls. I had never seen it before and it really made me stop and think. http://www.worldwar2database.com/gallery2/v/wwii1077.jpg.html YouTube has several 401st related videos here including one of nose art. Look on the right hand sise of the page for a list of 401st videos located on this page. I did not do a search on youtube to see if there were others available. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLARi76c6wY&feature=related Jack Young's WWII Memoirs - memoirs and pictures from a B-17 Top Turret Gunner in the 401st Bomb Group. http://www.vetshome.com/ww_ii.htm http://www.dmoz.org/Society/History/By_Time_Period/Twentieth_Century/Wars_and_Conflicts/World_War_II/Air_Forces/United_States/ Flight Jackets web page: http://artbysky.org/html/flightjackets.html I am sure there are many more, but I thought this might be a good place to start listing some of the sites as I tend to loose them and there is not as of yet a category on the forum to keep them. I hope some of these are new to some of you or at least fun to revisit. Jackie

3/3/2010 7:36:51 PM | Wow, Another great link and the photos are supperb! My father was a ball turret gunner and I agree it may not have been a popular position...but all the men must have been somewhat short to even fit in? I know my father was not a big man and I guess that is why he was a ball turret gunner. Thanks again for this link! Jackie
