There are over 50 pages of WW II photos located here for several countries and military groups.

One photo in particular really made me stop and pause... that was the The Stadium Of Skulls. I had never seen it before and it really made me stop and think.

YouTube has several 401st related videos here including one of nose art. Look on the right hand sise of the page for a list of 401st videos located on this page. I did not do a search on youtube to see if there were others available.

2/28/2010 12:15:45 PM | There are many more sites. I'hope somday we have a place to hist all the links. You may also'want to go to Wmbshots and place either -- 8th Air Force or or 401st Bomb Group or Deenthorpe or WWII in the search and you will find a lot more.
I did not have time to look for more the day I sent the previous links in.

3/1/2010 7:17:43 AM | You bet those are some good photos and I rode in Nine O Nine about 2 years ago here in Lubbock. Just loved the flight and roaming around it and the roar of the engines on take off!!!! The other aircraft were also here.

Another great link and the photos are supperb! My father was a ball turret gunner and I agree it may not have been a popular position...but all the men must have been somewhat short to even fit in? I know my father was not a big man and I guess that is why he was a ball turret gunner.
