It does not take a day like Veteran's Day for me to remember and appreciate the service and sacrifice that you, the veterans
of the 401st Bombardment Group, have made. Because of this fine Association, I have the opportunity to interact with many of you regularly and let you
know how important you are to me and how deeply I feel about what you personally went through for my freedom.

For those veterans who I have not had the pleasure of meeting as of yet, I want to make sure that you know how much gratitude my heart holds for you
and to let you all know you are on my heart and in my prayers regularly. I do not say that lightly, I know many of you face challenges as you are aging,
much like my Uncle who is about to turn 90 in January, God willing. I hope that you feel the support of this Association and the support of not just my prayers,
but others as well. You are a treasure of ours. If there is anything I can do for you, I hope you will let me know.

Please take care and enjoy this day that our nation has carved out for your much deserved recognition.

Sincerely,

Josie Navarro 🙂

After a week of less-than-pleasant weather, the sun came out again today so I went back up to the memorial to get some more photos of the wreaths:

Sorry about there still being a shadow on the face of the memorial, but that's what you get even at midday in November over here... 😉
