While searching for my Grandpa 1st Lt Eugene Viehman, we have been looking for information regarding his brother Jay Viehman, who flew with the 305th. I ran across this photo on the 305th Facebook group, There where pictures of 44-8708, which was transfered to the 305th.

44-8708 XK-R 365th Sqn. ST LOOIE BLUIS came from neighbours the 401st BG Deenethorpe May 1945. One of many exchange assignments, exchanged for several of our war weary older standard B-17G's. 8708, like all those exchanges, came as a PFF Pathfinder Lead plane. Again, look right of man's lower half beneath fuselage, you can see the H2x radar dome housing. Location? Not 100% sure this may also be St Trond. There is a pile of trash on left, rubble I think. Likely to be clean up from bomb damage at St Trond before the 305th arrived and took over the field in peacetime. Ian W."

Don't know if this is any help or of interest, but I thought I'd post

As I just suggested to Paul, a number of photos got corrupted somehow on the Old-New forum sometime ago. I discovered that when I tried to migrate them to the New-New Forum. I'll look closer, but I doubt there's much we can do short of contacting the original poster to get them back.
