Hi,

two MG 50 have been fished from North Sea, off Calais (FRANCE), by a trawler. One with a serial number still readable : 888602.
With the help of AFHSO research team, the a/c have been identified :
42-31511  - FTR 10 april 1944 - hit by flak and ditched into the Channel sea, off Calais.
The crew was G.M FOX one's - many were taken POW.
Number of the MACR is 3939.
A set of pictures have been sent to the 401 st historian by email. a little part of the frame has also been found.
Perhaps there are members of the crew still alive somewhere in the USA.
