I am in the process of putting up a memorial to the crew of the above aircraft that crashed at White House Farm, Westhall near Halesworth Airfield, Suffolk,  on 24th March 1945. Any info, pictures of the plane, or crew  would be most welcome to keep these boys' memory alive.

The following negative numbers in the National Archives are of I'll Be Seeing You:  65514AC, B65709AC, 65777AC, A65809AC(J)

I haven't figured out how to tell if they are plane shots, jacket shots or crew shots, (although I can guess) but if you check their website, you can order xeroxes of the photos.  They will also send info on companies that can pull the negatives and make photos for you.

Hello Donald. I am the grandaughter of Joe Cromer. I am so pleased to hear that someone is wanting to put together a memorial about the crash! Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks!

I have some pictures of the actual plane. My Grandfather Joe Cromer was the Pilot of the plane I'll Be Seeing you. He was not the pilot of the plane when it crashed, I don't know if that matters....

Thanks!

Hello
I am the Secretary of the Halesworth Airfield Memorial Association, the airfield where the above B17 crashed. I have put a picture of the crew and a write up of the events of that day in a frame and it now takes pride of place at the Westhall Racehorse Public House, within the parish of Westhall where the B17 crashed. Please contact me for further details or visit our website to contact me via email.
