I've been `with the 401st since1943-1945 and never heard of a squadron nicname....

after a bear cub that was kept on leash in the office

10/4/2004 11:58:41 AM | As far back as I can determine, the 614th was known as the Lucky Devils, a name reflected in their unit insignia. I know that was true of the unit in later years when it was equipped with F-4s and F-16s, but I'm not sure how far back in history that moniker carried.
