Bob,

Bob looks about the same condition of the one I got off e-bay for $98.00 after the bidding was over.  Mine had 2 pictures cut out of it.  However, later I got a looks like new re-print for $30.00.

Bob,

Is this the only way now to obtain copies of the book. I think a few years ago my dad was able to order it?

Thanks,

Mike, I got my copy off E-bay a while back, and it's actually pretty clean. Not sure if it's available anywhere else, but I couldn't find one.

Good luck,

Yes this is the only way to get one.  Or find it at a Book Store on the web that deals with old books.  There will be no re-print of the book as I am told.  Your dad most likely got a copy of the re-printed book.  Which is on slicker paper and the patches are in Black & White.  The last time I saw one at a book store they wanted $250.00 for it.

At-best, this is may be only a semi-answer to a question that's not been asked yet, but here goes:

1. In trying to get an in-color copy of the 401BG's four Squadrons' insignia (patches), I contacted the US Air Force Academy Library - they have an "original" Bluebook with an in-color page of the insignia (patches).  In discussing copying the insignia and "copyright", the Librarian advised me that
2. Newsfoto Publishing Co., (original "Bluebook publisher") is now a division of Taylor Publishing, which has a website (I haven't visited yet) listing this contact info:  Jay Love - Fine Books; 1550 W.Mockingbird Lane; Dallas, Texas, 75235; (214) 819-8226; jlove@taylorpub.com, so
3. Would this be a good contact for both locating present "bluebook" reprint stocks (should there be any), and checking what new possibilities and interest there may be for a new "reprint" addition, now that digital publishing is common?
