Don Lindsay Anderson
CHENEQUA - Don Lindsay Anderson, 83, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, surrounded by his family at his home, Quayside, in Chenequa. He was born June 18, 1917, the son of George Leslie and Carol Reed Anderson in Milwaukee.

He was the loving husband of 54 years to Betty-Alice "Bee" (nee Friend). He was the dear father of James (Eugenie), Leslie (Richard) Barkow, Christine (Thomas) Dunlop and Reed (Marilyn). He was "Grandon" to Carl, Jim, Augie, Sally and Emlie Barkow; Alison, Tom and Ian Dunlop; Jamie and Teddy Anderson and Jenna and Jake Anderson. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, friends and his yellow lab, Cleo. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Anderson, and his sisters, Jean Esser and Nancy Browne.

A decorated veteran of World War II, he served five years in the Army Air Corps. He flew over 30 missions in the 8th Army Air Forces as a bombardier on a B-17. He retired as a First Lieutenant of the 614th Bombardment Squadron, 401st Bombardment Group.
