I am the grandson of Carl "Kermit" Seagren and I had the opportunity before his death two years ago to gather some information about his time in the 401st. Kermit was in the 615th as a waist gunner and tail gunner. He was shot down and became a prisoner of war at Stalag XVIIB until the liberation of the camp. He could only remember a few names of his crews, Shaw was his pilot on his final mission and I am still looking at photos to see if names are viewable. If anyone remembers Kermit, I would love to talk with them as I am gathering this information to pass on to my family and his other grandchildren.

Thanks

Our records show C.K. Seagren was in 614th sqdn. John Hurd, ball turret, is the only member of our present association. He lives at 611 San Jose Drive, Hemet, CA 92543-6916, phone number (909) 652-4244. Weekends you can find him at the b-17 "Picadilly Lily" at Chino (CA) airport.

Matthew, I have a crew list that Donald Byers sent me when I was trying to find some information on my uncle, Alfred Autrey, bombardier. It lists F.L Shaw as Pilot and C.K. Seagren as waist gunner. The planes serial # was 42-39847 and went down 11 april 1944.
