prop spinners spiarial paint & Lord Haw Haw reply on Radio Luxengberg

as a mechanic on my aircraft, I remember all four prop spinners were painted spiarials.And I recall that Lord Haw Haw on radio Luxenberg later on said "We know you are the 401st bomb group because of the prop spinners are painted spiarials on them". After returning from that mission, all hell broke loose! Orders were to immediatly remove the paint on all four props. whic we did.
Can any one out there recall that incident?

I only remember hearing Lord Haw Haw's welcome to the 401st and the message that the clock in our operations room was off time.
