I was the pilot of the B-17 "Carrie B", stationed at Deenthorpe,on several missions between April 8, 1945 and May 18, 1945.  Does anyone have any photos of the "Carrie B" and does anyone recall the name of the ground crew chief during that same period of time?  Replies appreciated. - Joe Tripi

The Carrie B III is the plane I flew.  Missions were from 8 April 1945 - 18 May 1945.
Apparently we have different directories.  My name, Joseph B. Tripi, appears in the 1997 Membership Directory at the bottom of page 62.
Regards,
Joe

My apologies. You are also listed on our mailing list as  6/26/01. I only have directories/histories of 614 and 615 sqdns. Drop G. Menzel a note at Savannah and see if he has the info you seek

Maybe you can identify this picture at the site below.  Since there were 5 Carrie B's.  My uncle was on 42-97344 listed in one of the documents I have as the Carrie B II.  He was Donald C. Byers and was KIA on 24 Aug 1944 on missions to Weimar.

Donald,
I don't know which one that would be.  Judging by the date, however, it must have been prior to the Carrie B III.
