I just found your site and it's great. I'm with www.bombs-away.net. We fly the B17 Flying Fortress "The Mighty Eigth" and I, along with some others, fly under the 401st BG colors. I'll be sure to visit more often. By the way, one of your guys from the real 401st just joined us to see what we're all about. If any of you have the time and inclination, stop by and say hi and join up.

My father-in-law, K Speelman, was in the 401st. His pilot was Lt. King. He was shot down over Poland in Feb.'44. He died in 1997, but he left his war time momentos to us. Please feel free to contact me if you know about his crew or their families.
