Most famous 401st B-17

Just curious, what was the most famous B-17 in the 401st. Was it the Baby Lu or some other?

The most famous B-17 in the 401st was the one that got YOU safely back to Deenthorpe, regardless of the name on the nose!Every crew chief and combat crew will naturally choose their own B-17, so the question is moot! BTW, I dont rememember the Baby Lu
as more than any of the others.

You are thinking along the lines of the Memphis Bell as the first B-17 to complete 25 missions. In the 401st BG there are none that made the first but would guess the one that compleated the most missions overall.

What about Mary Alice? Supposidly the most battle damaged B-17 in the 8th Air Force and replicated at Duxford to boot!!
