I search the composition of crew for the B.17 serial
42-107210 shot down in Normandy the 12 June 1944

This aircraft was destroyed in a ground accident at the base on 12 June 1944 with no crew an board. I will check for aircraft and crews lost on that day to see if maybe you have the wrong serial number. The B-17 you mention was in the 614th Bomb Squadron and was identified as IW N "Be Coming Back".
