My father, 2nd Lt Ronald E Rowley, flew as the navagator in the Homesick Angel, serial # 42-31591 with 1st Lt M Maharick piloting.  Co-pilot was 2nd Lt W W Robertson and other crew members were G W Moulton; W H Reed; L H Lanier; W F Moore;
M R Webb; W E Karre; and J R Hardaway.  Dad passed away in June 2 years ago and I only just found this site.  Anyone know where I might get a photo of the Homesick Angel and/or a picture of the nose art on the plane if any.  Even though Dad didn't like to talk about the war, he had a few good stories (as in the one time everyone (except the pilot and co-pilot) bailed out over the channel on the way to a mission when the bail-out button got hit accidentally)?
To all of Dad's comrads - God Bless you for your sacrifices and courage.

I don't have my research books with me since I'm in the process of moving.  Check with the National Archives (NARA) website and request any photos for that plane.  Give them the serial number, nickname and Bomb Group/Squadron.  They will send you xerox copies of what they have or let you know they don't have photos.  They might have just airplane, crew and plane, or jacket art shots.  They will also send you info and prices of companies that can pull the negatives and make photos for you.  There are some other forum messages that talk about the National Archives and how to get pictures.

i don't have any pictures other than the one with the crew and that is not their plane. i will look next weekend when i go to visit him. he is 88 now and soon to be 89 in july. if you think of any question that he might remember let me know and i will see if he can remember he has trouble some days.
