My uncle, Dominic Ceresa,co-pilot of the "Channel Express", was killed on his 19th mission to Bordeux on June 19, 1944. I have information about a monument built near the crash site in honor of the seven crew members killed.
I trying to find a photo of his plane.
Thanks,
Dom Ceresa

May have a photo.  I was a crew member on the original Channel Express.  The crew was split up in May,1944. Did not know whoflew Channel Express after May 20, as I had completed my missions.  This could be the same airplane that I was on. Probably have a picture of the plane with the name shown on the nose.  Do you have a list of names of those KIA on this plane?

Dear Mr. McCawley,
Thanks for your reply. The KIA were Dominic Ceresa,
Harold Eames,Robert Mahler,Paul White,William Nealon,
Alfred Wieters, and James Faulkner. Bill Massey,Lew
Stelljes & Francis Berard bailed out and spent three
months in France before getting back to England.
According to the pilot, Mr. Massey, the plane had
37 missions when it crashed in France.
I also have a photo of the tail section taken where it crashed near Jauldes, France.
Best regards,
Dom Ceresa

Still looking for the picture for you.  I have several pictures that are misplaced, but still have hopes of finding.  Incidentally, the original Channel Express crashed in England after the crew had bailed out.  This was Dec 22,'43.The history book has a couple of pictures of this plane.

Dear Mr. Mccawley,
  Thanks for the update.
I have a list of the missions flown by the Channel
Express with my uncle's crew, if you are interested.
Can you provide more information about the history
book you mentioned?
Best regards,
Dom Ceresa
