My uncle flew his first and last mission with Lt. Cain. I have talked with Lt. Maxwell Cain about 4 years ago he didn't remember my uncle as he was a last minute replacement from Fish's crew. I spoke also with the engineer of Fish's crew who identified the nose art of Jill's Jalopy. As there are a number of records out there that have switched Fish and Cain on what planes they were flying on 24 Aug 1944. I doubt if there was any mention of my uncle? Donald C.
