My father was a TTE on the Lt. Harte crew and they flew out of Thorpe Abbotts w/the 100th Bg and the 100th had quit a record for losses it seems as the Germans seemed to seek them out. My Dad was a POW in Stalag 17B, in barracks 31B, shot down 4/22/44
maybe we can keep in touch with our PC's,Take care!
|- | '''Donald Byers'''
7/19/2001 1:22:13 PM | [http://www.combatvets.org/Stalag17B.htm
]
Check Out the above site and the one
below:http://www.b24.net/pow/stalag17.htm

|- | '''Steve Meinke'''
3/7/2005 2:01:05 PM | Hello Courtney
I have been doing some research on my Uncle Harveys
war years And he too was sent to Stalag 17B barracks
31B (shot down April 8th 1944 over Hanover Germany)He was with the 44th bomb group 67th squadron.Unfortunatly
he passed away years ago and I never got to talk to him.
