Matthew Seagren 6/11/2001 6:59:48 AM | I am the grandson of Carl "Kermit" Seagren and I had the opportunity before his death two years ago to gather some information about his time in the 401st. Kermit was in the 615th as a waist gunner and tail gunner. He was shot down and became a prisoner of war at Stalag XVIIB until the liberation of the camp. He could only remember a few names of his crews, Shaw was his pilot on his final mission and I am still looking at photos to see if names are viewable. If anyone remembers Kermit, I would love to talk with them as I am gathering this information to pass on to my family and his other grandchildren. Thanks |
