1. Served in the air force.
2. During WW2-401st 693th Sq, Bb Gp (B-17's)seven missions bombing Germany. My job was gunnery instructor. Plane shot up once forcing an emergency landing in France.
3. During Korean War=98th Bb Gp,613th Bb Sqdn.B-29's. Bombing North Korea. Completed 54 missions as Senior Gunner.
4. Served for twenty years.Wartime about 2to3.
5. Rank when retired Master Seargent.
6. Have a 50% disability due to hearing loss as a result of flying and working around guns and airplanes.
7. There were no MRE's-But we had K=rations which I rarely usedbut I liked the Breakfast meal best.
8. Biggest EngagementDuring WW21st 1000 plane bombing raid over Germany. Korean War --none Just ordinary bombing runs.
