Sigurd Hillman
Sigurd (Sig) W. Hillman, 86, Upham, N.D., formerly of St. Augustine, died May 25, 1997, in a Rugby, N.D., Medical Center. He was born in McHenry County, and he was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving with the 401st Bomb Group, 8th Army U.S. Army Air Corps in England, during World War II. After the war, he farmed in Bantry until 1965, when he and his wife, the former Alice Burry, moved to St. Augustine. Here he worked as a security guard. The Hillmans returned to Upham in 1993, and his wife died in 1996.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7067, Towner; the American Legion Post 269, Upham; and the Melankton Lutheran Church.
