5/14/2013 1:13:14 AM | Greetings from Texas! I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful family of Veterans. My name is Jo Ann Rogers. My father, Charles G. Rogers was the belly gunner on "Diana, Queen of the Chase". I believe this was the 612th Squadron. He is still living and I live with him in Austin, TX. He is 87 now and in fair health. He and I talk a lot about his days in the service and I am fascinated. He asked me to post this and find out if there are any crew members of the 612th still living and a way to contact any of them. He lost contact with the guys after they returned home and hasn't heard a word since. My plea is this, if you or anyone on this site knows what happened to the crew members, please let me know. Charles also wants to know if any of the crew members were hurt during any of their missions as he can't remember. Charles and I watched the documentary on Deenethorpe tonight and it's excellent! He is even in it! Dad was interviewed by someone out of Abilene, TX and they ended up using him in the documentary! How wonderful. I will stop rambling now. I just get so excited when researching this. I pray that all of you who survived are well and happy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your devoted effort and service. God bless you all!

6/17/2013 9:11:43 AM | I have gone back through the crews and with the data that we have I don't show anyone that was injured or wounded of your dad's crews that he flew with. 1st Lt. J.N. Donaldson did replace a sick pilot and ended up becoming a POW on 16 Feb 1945. Don

6/28/2013 9:17:02 PM | Check out NARA photo 65427A and see if your father is one of the crew members in the photo. The ground crew for "Diana Queen of the Chase" are the three on the left in the back row. If your father is in the photo point out which one he is. My father is in the back row farthest to left.
