| With Pride In Our Past<br/> <br/> The birds of a feather who flocked together scattered once again.<br/> We reunited as a group, the group that’s always been,<br/> The “best damn” group in the 8th Air Force,<br/> And we all know we’re still the “damn best” of course!<br/> <br/> We’re moving on but moving ahead, we get better as we go.<br/> The young folks do a magnificent job, we need to tell them so.<br/> They sprouted their wings by learning how it was done,<br/> From the greatest leaders in the force, that’s why we’re number one!<br/> <br/> Our web site is the best around it keeps us on the spot.<br/> Our worthy historian continues gathering facts of who did what?<br/> I’m sure our records are second to none, no one will be left out.<br/> If you were there you’ll be remembered, of that there is no doubt!<br/> <br/> We want to continue the 401st as a solo act as long as we are able.<br/> If everyone will give their strong support that will keep us stable.<br/> To preserve the legacy of our group as the “best” will be our goal.<br/> Keep the faith, do your part, even though you’re getting old!<br/> <br/> Jake Shepherd, 613th Squadron <br/><br/><br/>
