R. W. James, after being damaged by flak, managed to make it to Sweden, where it made a belly landing in a peat bog. <br/> All crew members were interned but were returned to England and then to United States on November 30, 1944."<br/> <br/> I'd guess the original owner of the photo was one of the crew:<br/> 2nd Lt R.W. | Well Paul I messed up.  I had put that picture on my watching Items list and was following it.  My medicine and forgetting got in the way and missed the last of the bidding.  I saw it went for $61.00 and was planning to bid around $32.00 but would have been out bidded.  That is a bummer as there are no pictures of this aircraft and that is a shame that the 401st didn't get it (me being the 401st).<br/> <br/> Don <br/><br/>Sgt. Donald C.
