O. on this aircraft, crew of J.A. Clemons. I am looking for any information about this crew, missions, and anything I can find. Dad was assigned to the 401/612 late in WWII and saw only a few months of action. Since we live in Dayton OH, the home of the National Museum of the United States Air Force my kids and I visit often and on occasion, Dad comes along. One B17, Shoo Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby is on display and is always our first stop. To marvel and pay homage to the crews of the 401st. Often, B17G is flown to a local airport and rides are offered. Just a week ago, a B17, B29, and P51 were here. As I worked one evening, I heard the distinctive drone of engines and looked up. There in all its glory was the B17 lumbering along taking people for rides. I had the biggest ball in my throat just thinking of the men.........

|- | '''donaldbyers'''

8/19/2008 8:21:37 AM | A total of 7 missions are shown. I have already viewed this website as well as a few others. Dad and I go to dinner every Wed. night. I like to "jar" the ole farts memory with these findings. If he was able, we would make a trip to Deeneforthe.

|- | '''donaldbyers'''

8/20/2008 10:36:20 AM | A 401st BG reunion is scheduled for 9-13 October 2008. Am unsure if you are aware of that or not as I don't see you or your dad listed as members of the 401st BG Assn. I will try and look through the crew list and see if anyone is listed as a member of your dads crew.

Don

Sgt. Donald C.
