I think this is a wonderful way to honor a family member, friend or loved one who defended our country at that time. I will be submitting my fathers name and thought some of you might like to do the same for your family or loved one. Veterans who are still living can submit their own names as well.

Here is the link if you are interested:

[http://www.wwiimemorial.com/]

Jackie

|- | '''donaldbyers'''

6/20/2008 7:49:26 PM | Yes it is. I added my Uncle to the Indiana WWII memorial a few years ago. It's a way to make sure all are accounted for.

Don

Sgt. Donald C. Looks like I need to make sure dad is there too. I did my uncle a while back also. He has two entries the ones indicated by the National Archives is pretty plain. The entry it you put it in is much better and you can put info in it and when approved you can upload a picture also. It you want to check out what I mean you can put in Byers, Donald, Indiana you will see two entries come up.

Don

Sgt. Donald C. Phil definitely needs to be there as he lost his life piloting his liberator back to base. I'm going to talk to dad about this just to find out if who Phil's living relatives are and obtain a photo. Of course, dad's goin' there too, or someone's gonna pay! :twisted:

Ed.

|}
